  • Packaging and labeling fish/seafood
  • Boxing up shares to send out for delivery to our weekly hubs
  • Keeping meticulous records (spreadsheets)

*Please note that fish filleting skills and an ability to identify a range of British fish species, are a plus, but are not required for this role. Training will be provided.

The job requires someone who is/has:

  • Comfortable handling fresh fish
  • Food prep experience with high standards and an excellent eye for detail
  • A good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety
  • Able to lift heavy items (boxes of fish/ice etc)
  • Prepared to work independently and to meet daily deadlines
  • Comfortable navigating spreadsheets and programs such as excel
  • Excellent communication skills

Hours: Wednesdays, 11am - 7:30pm Thursdays 10am - 1pm   Pay: £12/hour plus a weekly fish share for two (priced at £35/month). This is a part-time, freelance position.  Location: Hackney City Farm, 1a Goldsmiths Row, E2 8QA, London Start date: We're ideally looking for someone who can start off with some training days in February (these will be paid) and then officially start the role 4th March 2020. A slightly later start date will be considered if 4th March is not possible.
