Job description

Three-year contract aligned with funding until 3rd May 2025

24hrs per week

This role is based mainly in our market garden supporting the Grower to grow chemical free produce for sale through our weekly chemical free veg box scheme, market stall and to other outlets across Thanet.

The successful applicant will assist in all aspects of food production, garden maintenance and related activities. Some experience and enthusiasm for this physically demanding role is essential.

Our newly funded Charity Windmill Community Gardens Margate (WCGM) aims to deliver social, environmental and health benefits whilst supporting people to learn about food growing, cooking and outdoor activities together. The project has a community garden and market garden of one acre each. We grow, sell and share chemical free produce on a co-produced basis with members of the local community.
