Job description

To motivate, support and encourage tenants and residents in the Barkantine Estate, Tower Hamlets and in several Hackney social housing estates to attain the skills and confidence to grow food in their homes internally and on balconies / windowsills, etc. and in existing or planned new community growing spaces within their estates.

The Community Food Growing organiser would be able to access ongoing support and advice from the charity and London Borough of Hackney officers. A schedule of the target estates and key contacts in Hackney would be provided.

Design the community food growing workshop content and access or produce appropriate training materials to include guidance notes on how to grow, plant maintenance, propagation, compost-making, etc.
