Job description

FareShare Greater Manchester redistributes surplus food from the UK food industry to frontline charities, schools and community services who are helping people in need. We believe that no good food should go to waste.

This key operational role co-ordinates the safe operation of the FareShare GM warehouse, supervising a diverse team of staff and volunteers to ensure the ongoing success of what we do which is redistributing in-date surplus food to those our Community Food Members (CFMs).  This involves working closely across teams and departments to ensure that all operational activities are completed to agreed schedules, and that food safety and H&S standards are met.

Alongside your commitment to reducing food waste and food poverty, you’ll have: a “can do” flexible approach to your work, strong skills in people management, organisation and admin plus top-notch communication skills,  all in a busy operational environment.  You’ll also need a good level of IT literacy, and first-rate attention to detail.
