Job description

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Second Chef/ Cook to join our team at Hiraeth, a Licensed Restaurant and Coffee House in Llanidloes. If you have a love for cooking and are eager to learn and develop your skills, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Your Role:

* Typical Duties:

• Opening up & locking up
• Covering busy breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts
• Food preparation and assisting the Head Chef
• Ensuring Food Hygiene standards are followed
• Monitoring stock levels
• Having an input into new menus
• Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen

What We’re Looking For:

• A passion for cooking and eagerness to develop your culinary skills
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Motivation and problem-solving skills

* Job Details:

• Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience
• Hours: Full-time (part-time positions considered)

• Apprenticeship Opportunity: We offer a Professional Cookery Apprenticeship (Level 2 and 3) in partnership with Cambrian Training, available for a minimum of 16 hours per week.
