Job description
Neal’s Yard Dairy is an independent business that has been maturing, selecting and selling artisan cheeses from Britain and Ireland since 1979. We aim to reinvigorate the British and worldwide artisan cheese industry by challenging the way people expect to buy and sell cheese: selling by flavour and quality above price or marketing. As leaders within our industry, we sell the finest cheeses to our customers within the UK and around the world.
The role
We are recruiting an Export Account Manager to work on a permanent, full-time basis in London.
As Export Account Manager, you will have responsibilities in European and US markets. You will be responsible for growing sales in these markets by
You will educate existing and new customers on the Neal’s Yard Dairy mission, our work and our cheeses in a manner that is inspiring, transparent and sometimes challenging.
You will have a knack for spotting business opportunities and be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
The role will require travel with at least one-quarter of the time spent on the road and the remainder working from London. This travel will include time with customers and logistics partners, as well as various industry events (Cheese in Bra, Salon du Fromage, etc).
As education and training are important aspects of the role, you will be a confident public speaker and comfortable behind the counter with cheesemongers. Communication skills are key, both externally with customers and internally with colleagues. Problem solving and numeracy skills are essential. Given the various time zones involved, some flexibility to the working day is required.
