Compensation: Starting at £12/hour, increasing with more responsibility

Paid Part-time

Job description

Grow Your Own Playground gives children in London the opportunity to learn about plants and the natural world within their school curriculum as well as during after school clubs.

They are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking person to help run workshops to primary schools in East London. This is a diverse role to include lots of gardening, some cooking and hands on making. A horticultural background would be great, but essentially a keen interest in plants and the natural world is what is needed and a desire to express that knowledge to pupils. There is a lot of physical work, building gardens, moving compost, weeding etc. that happens all year round.

Experience with working with children is important and initiative and confidence to take on leading workshops once training has been given is vital. This is a very rewarding position as you will be making a huge difference to the lives of these pupils.

Hours: 9-5pm (1 or 2 days a week but possibly more)

Applicatons will be considered as soon as they are received.
