The Slade Cafe
342 Plumstead Common Road SE18 2AJ
Compensation: dependent on experience
The Slade Cafe is a new community cafe in the heart of Plumstead, opened in October 2018. We are looking for a passionate chef to join our small and friendly team. You should have experience working in a busy kitchen environment cooking food to a high standard. The role will include working solo in the kitchen during less busy periods so being self-motivated is essential.
The cafe is owned by chef Kieran Barry (Frank’s Cafe, Bistrotheque, Canton Arms, Brick House) and our aim is to offer a high quality, interesting, seasonal menu with food that is handmade and freshly prepared.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to the menu design and be responsible for maintaining and pushing forward our reputation in the area. The cafe will develop an evening food offering over the course of 2019, which we see as another exciting prospect for you and the team to embrace. You will receive training, support and guidance and we would love to meet the right candidate to grow alongside our business. If this opportunity sounds like it’s for you then we’d love to hear from you!
