Compensation: £14.34 per hour, 3.5 days

Job description

We're looking for an assistant coordinator to be a key part of our veg scheme team. We bring over 1700 organic fresh veg and fruit bags to our members in Hackney every week and support local, agroecological farmers.

This role will have specific responsibility for coordinating the weekly veg bag pack. It will also share responsibility for essential veg scheme work including member management, logistics and capacity coordination and tracking, and adapting and responding to a wide range of tasks over time.

You will have specific responsibility for managing the Tuesday and Wednesday pack days, ensuring all elements of the bag packing can operate effectively by coordinating the pack team and problem-solving any produce, logistical or resourcing challenges.

This role requires a willingness to carry out practical, administrative, routine tasks reliably, responsibly and efficiently, and involves early-morning starts. It also involves coordinating people and tasks confidently and effectively, problem-solving and thinking strategically, adapting to unexpected challenges, and contributing to the continued improvement of the scheme.
