Job description

Flourish is a 52 acre farm in Cambridgeshire which has been producing vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruit (and as of 2021, heritage grain and sheep) for the past 4 years. Whilst we usually work exclusively with chefs, we now grow supply produce boxes and shops in Cambridge and London.

We are looking for an honest, motivated individual to join the team who enjoys hard work and being outside. This job will involve a huge variety of tasks and responsibilities and will be an opportunity for someone keen to learn about regenerative farming and producing beautiful produce efficiently and successfully to the highest stabdards. Leadership experience will be required for this role as it will involve the management of a group of volunteers. Physical fitness and practicality is important, along with a business like approach.

Tasks will include and extend beyond:

• Crop work for flowers, fruit, herbs and vegetables including bed preparation, planting, cultivating, weeding, pest and disease control
• Irrigation
• Harvesting and packing
• Light carpentry and farm maintenance
• Management of volunteers
• Tractor operation (for the right individual)

The right applicant must have:

• Excellent communication skills
• A keen eye for detail
• Must be very reliable, dependable and morally sound
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25kg
• Clean drivers licence

This is a full time, salaried position and we are offering comfortable but modest accommodation on the farm. 12 month minimum commitment.
