Job description

FINGAL'S BAKERY is looking for a motivated and experienced baker to join our team of sourdough bakers.

Situated in Greenwich, we are a small artisan bakery, just a few minutes walk from mainline rail stations with local bus routes a plenty! We work predominantly with organic flour and sourdough cultures to produce some sensational sourdough breads, buns, soda bread and pretzels on a stone based oven.

We are looking for an enthusiastic baker who has had previous experience in mixing, weighing, hand shaping and baking, with some experience in making buns and similar.

The work environment is fun, relaxed, with a lively atmosphere. We bake directly into our store/café, attend farmers’ markets at weekends with wholesale next on the list. You will not be working all day isolated on some industrial estate and every baker is involved in all parts of production.

Requirements:

  • The position is full time approx. 40 hours
  • You will need to have had 2 years experience working with all aspects of making sourdough bread.
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends, 28 days holiday per year.

  • Salary negotiable based on experience. We support Living Wage for London. We are offering long term employment with possibilities to develop your skills while learning from our very experienced head baker.
