About our organisation

The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity that works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.

We campaign for change, support farming innovation, serve healthy food in communities, champion and grow the organic market, and protect forests. We couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.

About the opportunity

A unique opportunity to lead the growth of the certified organic beauty and textiles markets in the UK. As more citizens are making sustainable choices, you'll work to grow the schemes that we offer and the market by supporting certified organic brands and businesses to develop, citizens to understand the importance of choosing certified organic and retailers to stock certified organic products. Its a varied role working with brands, suppliers, manufacturers and retailers and press and you'll be leading the development of the strategic plan to grow the schemes and the market.

About you

An energetic and passionate self starter with a background in either health and beauty or textiles, ideally with some direct experience and knowledge of organic or sustainability. We're looking for someone who can take leadership of the schemes, is happy working across a varied portfolio from trade shows to retail influencing and producing insight to support retailers and brands. You must be client facing and a great relationship builder and networker, happy working in partnership with others..

Hours

37.5 hours per week, fixed term contract for 15 months
