Job description

We are recruiting for a new VegBox Operations and Projects Coordinator. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, highly organised and will bring a can-do, proactive attitude to the team. This is a new role, and a great opportunity to join a thriving community business, with opportunities to contribute to high impact projects which you are interested in, such as making our VegBox accessible to lower income households, or implementing an environmental monitoring system.


  • Hours: Full-time, Mon-Fri (37.5 hours, 8am – 4.30pm); option for flexible working or reduced hours.
  • Salary: £25,000
  • Contract: 1 year fixed term contract (with possible extension to permanent contract depending on farm needs in 22/23)
  • Timeline:
    • Deadline for applications – Sunday 17th October
    • 1st round telephone interviews – 21st / 22nd October
    • In person interview / assessment – 28th / 29th October
    • Start date: As soon as possible (and definitely by early December 2021)
  • Location: Sutton Community Farm, SM6 0SHwith option for some home working 

The VegBox Operations and Projects Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth running and continuous improvement of our VegBox service. You will monitor our agreed KPIs such as weekly orders, and cost of goods sold, and respond accordingly. You will provide holiday cover for the Logistics Coordinator and Buying roles, which means you will need to be a fast learner, adaptable and confident with Excel / Google Sheets. Being embedded in the team in this way will allow you to fully understand all the VegBox processes and work cross functionally to identify and support improvement projects, which will improve the resilience, profitability and impact of our VegBox operation.

About Sutton Community Farm

Sutton Community Farm is a community-owned farm. We started in 2010 in response to a community need with the purpose to increase access to fresh, healthy, sustainable food and provide a shared space for people to cultivate skills, get exercise and make new friends. Our farm sits on a beautiful 7.1 acre smallholding with views towards the skyline of central London.
