Job description

We are looking for a gardener or team of gardeners to join our team asap for the rest of the summer! We have two projects on the go, one of which requires some care for over the whole summer and another which needs a big burst of energy over the next couple of weeks!

We are happy to split the role between a couple of people if you are part of a group who would like to be involved.

Smith Field Rotunda Garden needs watering and general maintenance. This would be for 2-3 half days spread across the week to water and tend a giant fernery in the middle of Smithfield Rotunda Garden, as well as being onsite during workshops (key dates below). We would like it if the gardener could be on site during key event days to help out and ensure the plants are not damaged. Key Dates for workshops (don’t worry if not available if some) July 5th, July 12th, July 19th, July 26th July 27th August 17th August 25th

Hampton Court Flower Show (Morden Hall Park Garden Center)

We help collect and re-home all the unwanted plants from Hampton Court Flower Show. Between the build up and breakdown the plants go to a holding site. When there they need looking after and sorting. We need someone who can help to sort and maintain the plants down at Morden. This is also a great opportunity to come and see the flower show behind the scenes!

At this time of year this can involved quite a lot of organising all the plants we collect from the show, as well as watering, maintaining and pruning plants to make sure as many as possible survive. This job would start asap!

We go on site the weekend of the 29th June so would need people to start ASAP. Ideally someone would be on site 2-3 days in the week of the 2nd-7th and then the dates below. Key Dates for workshops July 10th, July 11th, July 12th, July 13th, July 20th,

We have a budget for this! We are happy to discuss this and anything else above. Please call Tom on 07817 782 431
