Job description

Experienced sourdough baker required for a new family-run venture in the popular Somerset town of Glastonbury. The bakery will be located in a recently converted former C19th Police Court alongside a main kitchen that will serve up to 50 covers inside the cafe and more outside in a sunny enclosed garden. The cafe will be supplied in a farm-to-fork operation by the family-owned farm, also in Somerset. And it may be possible to develop heritage grain supplies, and even milling, at the farm which could be used in the bakery. There is also potential for the bakery to develop an outside catering side to the business, as well as supplying the cafe with fresh bread. This is an exciting opportunity to join a mother/daughter enterprise from the beginning and experience it grow. This position can be either full-time or part-time.

One to supply sourdough bread with potential to expand into outside catering; the other to cook for 50 cover cafe with veg & other produce supplied by the family farm using conservation methods (ie no sprays etc).
