Afroecology is a conscious practice of growing food and caring for the land, guided by principles of traditional African knowledge that work in harmony with nature to support food sovereignty.
This a special land-based programme combining traditional theory with hands on practices, intentionally designed to reconnect you to your ancestral memory and encourage pathways to elemental regeneration.
Bringing together organisers, growers, educators, healers and land practitioners working at the intersection of ecology, justice and ancestral knowledge. This programme offers opportunities for deep learning, connection and belonging.
In celebration of the growing network of extraordinary melanin rich sistrens, doing vital work in land stewardship, leadership, food growing and farming across the UK, this programme is a collaboration between The African & Caribbean Heritage Food Network, Aweside Farm, Black Butterfly, Black Growth, BlackRootz, Coco Collective, Land In Our Names and Earth Tenders. Hosted across multiple locations in London and surrounding areas, the programme offers you the opportunity to fully experience nature in its diverse forms of expression.
