Seed Co-operative is run by a small, dedicated and friendly team who cover a broad range of tasks in their roles. As we grow, process and sell seed our tasks naturally change with the seasons, which keeps us on our toes! The success of the cooperative is completely reliant on people working together to achieve great things. Team members work hard to support each other in day to day tasks and are flexible and proactive, picking up work where needed as priorities change. Seed Cooperative is growing in every sense! With strong demand to meet and internal projects in progress to support our growth, the cooperative is now on the lookout for new team members to join us on this challenging and rewarding journey.

We have the capacity and potential to very significantly increase our seed growing activities. Our seed sales are expanding rapidly year on year. It may be that a couple could bring skills that could complement existing skills within the team and help our sustainable growth as a business.
The horticultural skills as set out above are currently of the highest priority. Not everyone wants to move to Lincolnshire (friendly people, great soil for growing, wonderful big skies....), but if a couple were interested in moving here where one person had those skills and their partner had complimentary skills in the areas of business development / marketing / administration / seed testing / IT development, or even more horticultural know-how, we would be interested in exploring the possibilities.
We are running a rolling application process. Finding the right person / people to be part of the team is the critical factor. We will make an offer to the first applicant(s) who seems the best fit. There is no deadline. To apply please email your CV(s) with a covering letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will send a contract template and job description back to those applicants that we would like to discuss working with and take it from there.
Please mention Roots to Work when applying for these jobs

We are a community-owned seed company, growing and selling organic seeds for everyone, and for the health and well being of people and planet. Our work provides lots of variation; we: - grow seed in fields and glasshouses - have a network of growers around the UK who produce seed that is sent here - process the seed grown here and by the growers network; threshing, sorting, cleaning, testing and bagging and storing it - sell and distribute our seed grown in the UK, and from a select few organic seed companies in Europe, through a web shop and to retailers - print and fill all of our packets; both small pictorial packets for gardeners and bulk packs for farmers and growers - run workshops, open days and events here at Gosberton Bank Nursery and attend conferences and events around the UK and Europe - produce an annual catalogue for our customers and an annual report and communications to our community shareholders - host volunteers, who help with all of the above tasks
