Job description

Companions Real Bread CIC’s commercial bakery in Bedford was set up in 2016 specifically to provide nutritious Real Bread to the people of Bedford and to give support to ex-offenders trying to build themselves a more positive lifestyle within our community.

Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are looking to recruit a temporary, part-time Support Worker. Key responsibilities will include:

  • providing ad hoc and structured support to our ex-offender volunteers, including regular one to one meetings;
  • networking with referring agencies to maintain awareness and encourage referrals;
  • monitoring and recording our volunteers’ progress through their placement;
  • leading on safeguarding awareness and procedures.

This could be an exciting opportunity for someone looking to learn or develop Real Bread skills alongside their paid role. 

16 hours per week, temporary for one year.
