Job description

Marketing & Communication Officer

Location: SF&G's Head Office, Bristol, BS3 4NA, with flexibility for some home working

Hours: 0.6 FTE / 22.5 hours (3 days) per week, to include Tuesdays

Salary: Banding between £24,074 and £26,580 pro rata FTE 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent, Part-time. As with all positions within a charity this is subject to funding.

This is a new opportunity for a confident, innovative and creative Marketing and Communications officer to join our team. Your role will support the training development and projects teams, playing a critical role in implementing the communications and marketing strategies. You will be promoting our services to our UK wide membership.

In this vibrant and varied role, creating engaging online and print based material, you must be able to work autonomously and influence and contribute your ideas to make this role your own. This is an exciting time of change for this organisation, which specialises in improving the wellbeing of people and the planet.

Job Purpose:

  • To promote the activities and services of SF&G, and those of our members to a range of audiences through channels including social media, newsletters, visual assets.
  • To raise awareness of the charity’s work through regional and national press coverage.
  • To work with colleagues to maintain a consistent organisational voice, brand and online presence across the UK-wide organisation.
