Job description
To coordinate the WCGM Veg Box scheme and lead on sales to local restaurants. To be responsible for the planning, implementing and monitoring of all communication activities for WCGM, including publicity and promotion on all events, activities and courses.
Our newly funded charity Windmill Community Gardens Margate aims to deliver social, environmental and health benefits whilst supporting people to learn about food growing, cooking and outdoor activities together. The project has a community garden and market garden of one acre each. We grow, sell and share chemical free produce on a co-produced basis with members of the local community.
To choose and order weekly seasonal chemical free produce for our weekly veg bags delivered to customers, maintaining a high standard of quality and seasonal variety all year round. Sourcing produce from our own chemical free market and community gardens and from organic and chemical growers as locally as possible.
To manage, maintain and develop the website, communications and social media strategy, producing promotional materials including seasonal recipes for the veg bag customers.
To ensure timely communication between suppliers and the WCGM vegbag team, supervision of volunteer delivery assistants and forging a positive customer experience.
To support new and existing customers and deal with enquiries/problems and maintain accurate records in compliance with GDPR 2018.
Maternity cover until 30.09.22 with possible extension (28hrs per week)
