Job description
Grow 2 Eat is a project to encourage people to try growing their own food even if they don't have a garden. Currently we have funding for Summer/Early Autumn 2022 for a part time engagement assistant. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative communicator and gardener to spread the love of growing food. Based at Leith walk policebox and also working from home - you will help with planning stalls to engage with the general public, including purchasing and preparing resources and social media. Hours are flexible approximately 6 - 10 hours per week and can fit around parenting/caring duties and other work. Ideally you would live locally and/or drive and have access to a car. We particularly welcome applications from underrepresented groups.

Leith walk policebox is a pop up space with an emphasis on sustainability and community. We aim to help support entrepreneurs, creatives, educators, charities and campaigners get their great ideas out into the world. We can also help with social media and publicity. The box has hosted a tool library, bin hub consultations, art and history exhibitions, a 2 seater cinema and food start-ups.
