Job description
About our organisation
The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity which works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.
We campaign for change, we support farming innovation, we serve healthy food in communities, we support and grow the organic market, and we protect forests. We couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.
About the opportunity
The Soil Association is inspiring more farmers and growers to join the agroecology movement and equip them with the skills and knowledge to help their business innovate and change. This role will ensure that expert knowledge is identified, captured and shared with farmers and growers across all F&LU activities in the most impactful way. You will build knowledge of the value and application of agroecology with farmers and growers in the UK and Europe, enabling more opportunities for funding and other income sources, to expand our capacity and impact. You will develop and maintain a KE and Outreach strategy and process and manage the delivery plan including on-farm demonstration days, workshops, webinars, training courses, technical and practical guidance plus the establishment of a network of demonstration farms. You will lead the direct KE and Outreach team and work closely with the F&LU advisors and technical staff to ensure that all the assets developed are as effective as possible
