Job description

Bluebird Bakery is a 'Real Bread' bakery with shops in Leeds, Malton & York and we specialise in sourdough and traditional long fermentation methods.

We are currently looking for an experienced baker to join our team in a new production facility, shop & cafe in Acomb, as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years baking experience in a commercial bakery and be very comfortable working with hand-shaping and using long fermentation methods. You'll be happy to work as part of a team and also on your own. There will be some heavy lifting involved so the role requires a good level of physical fitness.

We bake everything from scratch and have an excellent reputation for the quality of our products; we need someone with enthusiasm for real bread and who is eager to contribute ideas.

The position offered is for 40-45 hours per week over five nights (Mon-Fri) and we usually start between 4 & 6pm. We offer a salary of £25 - 28K depending on experience, with bonuses and profit share options. We also offer assistance with a relocation package and training opportunities for the right candidate.
