About us:

Good Earth Growers supply a great range of organic produce for some of the finest restaurants in the country. We grow, micro greens, vegs and herbs and also specialise in Asian produce.

About the Role:

Ensuring the smooth running of operations in the most efficient, effective and profitable way for the business. Supporting the team to cultivate a happy. healthy thriving and profitable workplace. Working with attention to the needs of our clients and colleagues while maintaining our core principles and quality of produce. We develop greater efficiency and effectiveness with strong ethical and ecological awareness.

Everyone is passionate about great products and respects the produce, tools, and resources the company has. We work as a collaborative team, listening and communicating to organise and follow directions. We are working to our core principles and have strong ethical and ecological awareness.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop sustainable and creative practices in all aspects of the organisation
  • Continue to promote a culture of striving for the highest possible standards of produce and customer service
  • Enhance employee well-being and development
  • Embed a culture of setting targets and accountability
  • Ensure compliance to health and safety and food hygiene regulations are kept up to date and followed by the team
  • Record and continue to update Standard Operation Procedures for all company activities
  • Striving to develop best practices, recording and refining procedures
  • Set the standard for working in a clear and organised manner for the rest of the team  
  • Plan what labour is needed to ensure the successful growing and harvesting of produce for customers
  • Report on key areas of the business
  • Plan and organise timely and efficiently delivery from suppliers for material needed for growing and despatching
  • Make sure everything is grown within the necessary specification
  • Ensure orders are despatched with accuracy
  • Oversee safe and efficient storage of seeds and company assets
  • Organise harvesting or liaising with harvesting team
  • Be aware how depts runs profitably
  • Plan the flow of produce
  • Contributing to the recruitment and selection of the field veg team
  • Site management and clearance
  • Co-ordinating communications between different areas of the business
  • Supporting the Founders vision and process ideals
