Job description

We are looking for someone to help one day a week in return for accommodation on site, and an additional 2 days paid work.

Work will include:

  • Building areas for hardening off seeds
  • General maintenance on-site
  • Assisting with growing to include seed sowing, transplanting, harvesting, weeding and watering
  • Liasing with kitchen staff on seasonal and essential foods to be grown to create an exciting menu
  • Potential farm work for the right person
  • Work with volunteers and monitor their work in the vegetable garden
  • Potentially showcasing the vegetable garden on Open Days and Group Visits.

Essential requirements: Maintenance skills.  An interest in sustainably grown food and farming.  A sense of initiative, ability to work alone and good social skills.
