Job description

The Supply Chain Coordinator will sit right at the heart of our farming supply chain, and manage the relationships with both our current and new suppliers. As a company, we are always looking to evolve our supply chain, and this role will be central to helping do that. The role will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s supply chain meets the business’s needs in the short, medium and long term. This will be achieved by:

  • Planning weekly intake of carcasses, forecasting in 6, 12 and 24 month periods.
  • Working closely with farmers to ensure compliance with the business’s standards and values.

The role will be broad and the specific responsibilities will vary but the main focus of the role and its responsibilities will be:

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monthly auditing of suppliers against the business’s standards.
  • Ensuring the supply pipeline meets current and forecast demand and any issues are flagged prior to becoming an issue.
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure product standards are upheld and intake is smooth.
  • Working closely with production to ensure all products are available to ensure weekly demand is met.
  • Work with the Head Butcher to carry out regular yield tests as required.
  • Raise weekly purchase orders for all production site needs and work closely with suppliers to ensure they are fulfilled.
  • Manage relationships with the supplier base to ensure they are best fulfilling the business needs and any issues are raised at the earliest opportunity.

Supply Chain Coordinator Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A keen interest in farming principles and best practices.
  • Comfortable working alone and self managing/prioritising workload to allow the smooth running of the business.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and data analysis.
  • Ability to complete all paperwork clearly and correctly to maintain compliance.
  • Ability to identify and negate any potential issues prior to them having an impact on the business.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Salary: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
