Paid Full-time Permanent
Job description
About our Organisation
The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity which works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.
We campaign for change, we support farming innovation, we serve healthy food in communities, we support and grow the organic market, and we protect forests. We couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.
About the Opportunity
Putting good food in the hearts, hands and bellies of children every day has been driving us at FFL for more than 15 years, and we’re proud to have our schemes cited as go to solutions in the National Food Strategy.
We are seeking a senior administrator to work across our four award programmes supporting the day-to-day delivery of the schemes. You’ll work in a small dynamic team within the wider Food for Life team, who like to support and encourage each other to be the absolute best we can be. We take pride in the programmes and always try to make them the best we can. This is a complex admin role, doing the same sort of tasks across four programmes that all operate in their own slightly different ways and you’ll need to enjoy the challenges this brings.
About You
You'll take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and have exceptional attention to detail. You will be comfortable delivering complex admin processes and happy to identify opportunities for improvement. You have a range of communications experience and feel comfortable working with people. You are self-motivated, hard-working, and driven. You will need to be a competent IT user for this role. We record all our conversations and data. We do most of our work using a CRM database. It isn’t perfect but we love it. You need to be happy to find your way around a new system and be careful and accurate in your data management. Finally, you need to truly believe in the ethos, aims and objectives of the Soil Association and its Food for Life Programmes.
Our Benefits
We offer a range of financial and lifestyle benefits to all our employees, including:
27 days annual holiday increasing to 30 days with length of service plus bank holidays
Pension scheme with ethical investment options and employer contribution increasing with length of service
Free membership of the Soil Association and discounts on organic produce
Volunteer days to give back to the local community or support green initiatives
Family friendly policies and flexible working
Cycle to work scheme
Sociable and engaging workplace of professionals that share a passion for healthy, sustainable lifestyle and produce
Hours
37.5 hours per week
Permanent
Location
