  • Interested in developing gardening knowledge and skills
  • Enjoy interacting with members of the community and children

Time commitment:

  • You may be required to stay until 11:45am to help clear up.
  • We would ask for a minimum time commitment of 6 months
  • Depending on funding, this project will be ongoing

Out of pocket expenses – travel and refreshments:

Benefits to the volunteers:

  • Fruit and vegetables grown at the allotment to take home

  • We provide a thorough induction which includes safeguarding training.
  • We encourage and signpost our volunteers to training to support their career development.
  • We provide a DBS check.

Support/volunteer management:

PACT is a space where we encourage a sense of community. We value connection and provide a safe space for people to be open and feel supported.

You will have close contact with the Volunteer Coordinator who will be able to support you with queries you may have. Our Volunteer Coordinator also provides 121 sessions should you need further support.

We run a reflection session, Tea & Talk, for our volunteers to come together, connect and share experiences and goals.

Before and after each session, we come together to check in/out and reflect on the week.
