Job description

Hours: Fridays – 9am - 5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
  • Prepare products up to company standards
  • Fill containers in a presentable fashion, leaving containers without residue
  • Handle and store ingredients and food
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • Execute opening and closing procedures
  • Monitor inventory levels, ensuring appropriate stock levels
  • Check quality and freshness of ingredients
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as blender
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes

Skills:

  • Level 2 Safety & Hygiene certificate
  • Full knowledge of HACCP procedures
  • Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with other team members

Experience:

At least 6 months working in a kitchen

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who can help us grow fast that is passionate about creating nutritious affordable food for children and vulnerable adults. Ideal would be someone who is happy to take the initiative in sourcing new ingredients or improving current recipes as well as an interest in creating new products for sale. We are focussed on vegetarian and vegan options so an interest in plant based recipes would be very welcome.

Its aim is to provide fresh, affordable, hyper local, nutritious food for all.
