Job description

A great opportunity to be integral within a small team producing a farm to table menu largely for a lunch crowd with occasional weekend and evening events

This Role

As a FarmED Cook & Baker, you will be working as part of a small team to feed our cafe visitors as well as the range of guests and visitors attending courses and events. This may be a light lunch for 10 farmers one day, a seasonal feast for 100 conference guests the next, and you will also gather and feed our team too!

You will support FarmED in it’s self-sustaining as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, this may include supporting the development of a local food hub or cooperative, or a range of FarmED food products - we are open to ideas!

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have some commercial cooking experience, ideally a minimum of 2 years
  • Have relevant food safety, hygiene & allergen awareness certificates
  • Have an interest in bread, pastries, dough & pizza making
  • Be a great cake maker
  • Be a passionate cook with a sound knowledge of vegetarian and vegan food
  • Be fluent in English
  • Have bags of enthusiasm
  • Enjoy being a flexible team player with a can do attitude & good communication skills
  • Share the FarmED vision and core values; be environmentally conscious & have an interest in regenerative farming & food production.
