Job description

We are an artisan bakery located in Brixton, South East London, making sourdough loaves and other complementary products to the highest quality and with the best ingredients. We break things, shake things and generally make noise in order to bake as close to perfection as it is possible to get. Founded in 2010, we are a small bakery that is growing rapidly and have big plans for the future, to help us on this mission we have a passionate team of dedicated professionals and a friendly, collaborative working environment that encourages growth and development.

In order to achieve these plans, we are looking for an experienced Baker to join our team on a full-time basis. We bake during the day time, 7 days a week and there will be weekend work, as well as the opportunity for paid overtime and 28 days holiday.

The main role of this position is as a Bread Baker, however all team members are required to help out in other areas as and when required. Please see some of the roles below included but not limited to:

  • Prepare breads from our various ranges and other baked products.
  • This will include mixing, scaling and shaping before baking.
  • Ensure all products are made to the set quality standards and in line with daily orders.
  • Monitor production in a consistent and professional manner.
  • Manage high volumes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of your work area including utensils and equipment

What we expect from you:

  • Minimum 2 year experience in Artisan Baking
  • Can read, write and speak English
  • Hard working and detail oriented
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Are able to work to tight deadlines
  • Can carry out physical work

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: DOE starting rate £14.25 p/h
