Job description

Are you passionate about creating a positive impact for people and planet? We’re recruiting for two full-time equivalent coordinator roles, offering flexibility for 2-3 individuals on either a full or part-time basis. We're looking for team members who share our values and whose skills compliment those of our current staff team to meet the needs of Earthworks.

Hours: 2 Full-time equivalent positions (35 hours / week). Part-time possible.

Contract type: Initial 2-yr fixed term contract with view to extend subject to funding.

We’re particularly interested to hear from individuals with skills and experience in:

  • Person-centred support
  • Landscaping DIY and woodwork
  • Permaculture and habitats management

About Earthworks St Albans We support Earthworkers and Gardeners - who are people with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health needs - alongside dedicated volunteers to manage 3.5 acres of beautiful eco-gardens in St Albans using Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) and environmentally sustainable practices.

About the role Our Coordinators support and enable Earthworkers and Gardeners in social and therapeutic horticulture (STH) and nature-based activities, as well as site maintenance and development activities. Coordinators have individual responsibility for specific areas of site and/or service delivery relevant to their skills and Earthworks’ needs. Coordinators undertake administrative tasks relating to support provision and areas of delegated responsibility.

About you If you’re passionate about supporting and enabling Earthworkers & Gardeners to reach their aspirations we welcome your application. You will need to be good at managing your time & tasks and be able to work well in a small team. We would particularly like to hear from candidates who have skills in hard landscaping, DIY and woodworks, as well as those who have a background in learning disability support and/or skills in permaculture and habitats management. We welcome applications from those who may not have these specific skills but feel they have the potential to thrive in this role.
