Job description

Oxmoor Farm is a small farm in the Chilterns which is home to The Barn restaurant, a restaurant serving Neapolitan-style pizzas and small plates.

Driven by honest food production and transparency in the supply chain, we believe that eating locally grown, seasonal produce is the only way to eat. Our goal is to make the planet a better place through food and shine a light on the way it is produced, supplied and consumed. The menu reflects our surroundings and the seasons, with all our ingredients coming from neighbouring farms or trusted producers.

The Barn restaurant seeks to embody the rural and cosy feel of the British countryside. It is stylish and relaxed with a combination of indoor and outdoor seating, a large log-burner and a lounge area. We aim to create a ‘home-away-from-home’ space for our guests.

The Barn is a friendly space for the local community to enjoy coffee, patisserie, a glass of wine and honest, simple food.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person, who exudes hospitality, to be a part of our restaurant team. Previous experience in restaurants would be advantageous but is not a necessity, all we are looking for is a 'yes, yes, yes' attitude and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will have a bright, warm and welcoming mentality. As a member of our front of house dining team it is imperative that you can communicate the story of our specially selected menu to our guests.

At Oxmoor Farm you will be a part of this new and exciting project, get to grow alongside our project and learn about the full process of our food and farming in a unique way.

Responsibilities:

• Event set up
• Table set up
• Taking drinks orders
• Serving food and drinks to guests
• Clearing food and drinks from guests
• Speaking to guests about our ethos and product
• Maintaining a clean and tidy event space
• Organisation of BOH areas
