Job description

Are you passionate about sustainable food and community connection?

Cardiff Farmers Markets is looking for a new Crew member to join our team at Riverside Market ( Sundays). This is a split shift and is typically  7am to 9am for market set up and 1:30 to 3:30 for market take down.  (£72. Per shift)

Key Responsibilities:

Set up Markets infrastructure before the arrival time of stallholders and take down after stallholder departure time

Experience

  • Experience of setting up and taking down market infrastructure including signage

Skills

  • Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised, to take initiative and to meet deadlines
  • Excellent diplomacy dealing with a range of individuals
  • Ability to effectively display promotional material and signage
  • Ability to lift and install heavy equipment specifically gazebos

Attributes

  • Punctual and able to commit to early morning starts in all weather conditions
  • Commitment to environmental awareness and sustainable development issues

The crew member is also the back up for our crew member at Rhiwbina Marjet (Friday mornings), and Roath market (Saturday morning as well as the Day Manager  for all 3 markets. An appropriate drivers licence and experience in driving a large van is essential.
