Intro to Bridging the Gap

Bridging the Gap is demonstrating ways to enable people on a low income to access climate and nature friendly food. Food that is good for people and the planet is currently more expensive than food that is bad for health and produced in ways that damage the planet. Bridging the Gap is focused on the supply and affordability of organic fruit and vegetables to people who experience low income in cities.

Queen of Greens Pilot

The Queen of Greens is a bus that has been transformed into a mobile greengrocer to bring affordable fruit and veg to communities around areas of Liverpool and Knowsley that are underserved for fresh fruit and vegetables. Stopping at 40 locations, the bus serves over 700 people a week. Many, particularly people from diverse backgrounds, would like to buy organic but can’t afford it. We are working with Manchester based wholesaler, Organic North, to introduce organic fruit and veg onto the bus.

Please contact Lucy Antal lucy@feedbackglobal.org for a full job pack. Interviews will be commencing week of 31st March.
