Job description

The kitchen garden at Quince Honey Farm was established last year and is still being developed. This post will involve running and continuing to develop the kitchen garden including growing in the 40ft polytunnel, which is currently being erected. Practices so far have all been No Dig and without the use of any inorganic fertilisers or pesticides. The person will also be responsible for growing the pumpkins for the farm's commercial pumpkin patch (for halloween pumpkin picking) as well as potentially assisting in the main site Nectar Gardens, which are the non-food producing pollinator gardens, if/when demands from kitchen garden are low.

Currently the kitchen garden is not officially open to the public, but we would like to make it accessible to visitors of Quince Honey Farm this season so the person will need to be comfortable engaging with members of the public.

  • 3 days a week
  • National living wage
  • Seasonal post until end of October 2025 covering maternity leave
  • Flexible onsite accommodation included (static caravan) for days working (if required)
