Job description

Job Title: Project Leader

Hours of work: 4 hrs. per week approximately. 

Pay: £30 ph (no holiday pay tbd after first year)

The main purpose of the job is:

  • Responsibility for management of  SONshine Club’s projects

Management of these projects includes:

  • Assisting in setting up the project and all it entails
  • Ongoing liaison with staff, volunteers and parents including feedback and supervision.
  • Liasing with park staff
  • Prepping grounds
  • Organising programmes.
  • Overall responsibility for smooth functioning of the projects
  • Purchasing necessary material for project

Maintaining the grounds on a regular basis/if applicable

  • Attend meetings as necessary

  • The importance of compliance with legislation, including the Children’s Act 1999 (Health and Safety, Safeguarding ,Employment legislation and Equal Opportunities.  (Management Committee members are able to advise about requirements).
  • Keeping satisfactory records of work undertaken.
  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by the users and their parents
  • To have a positive attitude and a willingness to the job.
