Job description

This is an opportunity to join our friendly team at the Community Kitchen – our cookery school on Queens Road in central Brighton. We are looking for an experienced cook and group leader who will deliver community cookery activities for a wide range of client groups, from adults with dementia to local primary school children to people living on low incomes. The role works alongside our staff and volunteer team to deliver sessions, run a safe & enjoyable cookery school and support our social media & marketing.

This role is part-time, 22.5 hours per week. The post holder will be committed to the work of the Food Partnership and will be supported with regular supervision and training. 

Hours: 22.5 hrs pw (to be worked on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays)

Starting salary: Full Time Equivalent £30,070 Pro rata £18,042 for 22.5 hours per week

What other benefits do we offer? 

  • FTE 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays (this would be pro rata 15 days for a 22.5 hour week).
  • BHFP offer an Automatic Enrolment Pension Scheme contributing 3% if the employee contributes 5%
