Job description

We are looking for a Sunday shop worker and prospective coop member for our busy store in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. 

The successful applicant must be confident working in a busy retail environment, excellent customer service and communication skills, have a passion for food and enjoy working as part of a diverse team.

The sunday shift starts at 9.30 and ends at 5.30, and involves till work, serving customers, receiving deliveries, restocking and cleaning. 

We are wanting to recruit someone who is interested in working towards becoming a full member of Valley Organics Workers Cooperative. This involves attending mointhly meetings, participating in collaborative decision making and taking on extra responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the coop. 

Full training will be provided for both roles

We are a workers cooperative veg and grocery shop, with a veg box scheme based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. We sell local, ethical and organic products and play an active role within our community, including supporting and promoting small scale food producers/ growers in the calder valley.
