Job description
Every day TCV works across the UK to create healthier and happier communities for everyone - communities where our activities have a lasting impact on people's health, prospects and outdoor places.
Based at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, TCV is looking for an enthusiastic, confident & competent Senior Project Officer.
We need someone who can lead this brand new & exciting project by recruiting volunteers, engaging local people & making positive, impactful gains for wildlife.
The role may involve working across a variety of green spaces, from orchards to ponds & wetlands to roof gardens & community growing spaces.
You'll plan & lead at least two (sometimes more) volunteering sessions a week to deliver practical nature conservation work. This includes delivery of a health & wellbeing focused session, TCV's Green Gym & a weekly Biodiversity Action Team activity. Additionally, you'll plan & deliver nature themed community engagement events, which may include activities like leading citizen science sessions, nature themed arts & crafts or nature walks.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a brand-new project, in a world-famous location. The post holder will have the close support of the team & other experienced local TCV staff, however we're looking for someone who's experienced enough to hit the ground running & deliver outstanding outcomes for both people & nature.
