Job description

Front of House Manager – Kaffee, Putney

Salary: £24,000–£26,000 per year (32 hours/week)

Kaffee is a cosy, Austrian-inspired café in between Putney Common and Barnes Common, known for our warm hospitality, beautiful bakes, and excellent coffee. We're currently looking for an experienced and motivated Front of House Manager to join our team.

Working closely with the owner, barista, and chefs/ bakers, you’ll play a key role in ensuring daily operations run smoothly, and that our high standards of service and atmosphere are consistently upheld.

About the Role:

• 32 hours per week across 4 days
• 3 days working on the café floor ( Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends)
• 1 day allocated for admin and managerial duties
• Support and oversee the Front of House team to deliver warm, efficient service
• Uphold cleanliness, organisation, and ambiance standards
• Assist with the rota, stock ordering, training, and day-to-day decision-making
• Opportunity to get involved in wider projects throughout the year, such as organising supper clubs, music evenings, Christmas markets, and other community events

About You:

• A strong background in hospitality and customer service
• Previous management experience in a café, bakery, or similar environment
• A natural leader with strong communication and organisational skills An eye for detail and aesthetics – from table settings to displays, you care about creating a beautiful and welcoming environment
• A hands-on manager who enjoys being on the floor and leading by example with a warm and welcoming energy towards customers, children and dogs
• Right to work in the UK is essential
• German language skills are a plus, but not required
