Job description
Do you love learning about what people are doing, connecting them with others and helping to share their stories? Are you passionate about being part of a community of people that can help make positive change in the world? Do you have excellent communication skills and a strategic approach? Do you enjoy finding creative ways to reach different people? If so, please apply for this key role within the Permaculture Association.
Communication is vital for the success of our organisation and the Communications Coordinator plays a key role in this. As the Communications Coordinator, you will help share what our members are doing in a wide range of permaculture projects from small urban projects, to community gardens, to large farms and helping members connect to each other. You will do this through sharing stories and information through a regular bulletin, a digest and regular social media posts. Your creativity will be needed to design compelling content to reach and encourage the engagement of broad audiences in permaculture. You will manage our website making sure it is up to date and relevant and also develop content for and manage our social media channels. You will also work closely with our Education Lead and permaculture educators to promote the courses that are offered through our platform, And you will provide support to the International Lead to develop communications for a partnership project.
This is a varied role with outward facing elements engaging with members and the wider public. It includes a mix of strategic, operational and administrative responsibilities.

Hours: 20 hrs per week which can be worked flexibly
Contract: Permanent
Holiday: 32 days including Bank Holidays pro rata.
Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer
Location: Leeds office is preferred with some home working. For the right candidate we will consider totally remote working
