Support us at our Community Allotment!
We are calling out for community-minded volunteers to help us nurture and grow our allotment space in High Wycombe. Whether you're an experienced grower or totally new to gardening, we’d love to have you involved.
What you might help with:
Preparing beds for planting
Seeding and planting
Mulching
Harvesting
General allotment care and maintenance
Dates are usually Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:30-14:30. This callout is simply to build a pool of volunteers who are happy to be contacted when support is needed. You can join as often or as little as you like. Once the next dates are set we will contact you with more details. Thank you for joining the team!
About Khepera CIC
Khepera means transformation — and our mission is to help members of the community improve their health and address issues affecting their wellbeing naturally. We are a small community company based in High Wycombe. We organise community gleaning days with schools and community members where we harvest surplus food from local farms and distribute this to food banks. As well as this, we collaborate with Empower to Cook CIC and have opened the Community Cooking & Wellbeing Kitchen.
Our goals include:
Increasing knowledge and awareness of healthy living
Empowering individuals and families to take control of their health
Supporting people to make positive life changes through food education and practical skills
Expanding the gleaning community to reduce food waste and increase access to fresh vegetables
Building a community around sustainability and healthy lifestyle
