Job description

We’re looking for someone who wants to join our busy charity to make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives.

With experience in managing services for vulnerable adults, you will be passionate about creating person-centred, meaningful and fun placements for adults experiencing a range of learning and physical disabilities in a mainly outdoor setting. The service runs 5 days per week, offering Horticulture and Animal Care placements to groups of up to 6 participants.

You will be an experienced line manager who can lead and support your team with confidence, guiding and empowering staff to improve the service and deliver a wonderful programme for participants. The service is very well established and has been running for decades, but there is plenty of opportunity to bring your own creative approaches to improving the impact and efficiency of the project.

  • Hours of work: 21 hours per week, over at least 3 days per week, largely undertaken between 9 – 5pm, Monday to Friday. Working pattern can be flexible but must include Tuesdays, and either Thursdays or Fridays.
  • Annual leave: 25 days holiday per year, plus public holidays, pro rata
  • Application Deadline: 10am Monday 12th January 2026
