Job description
Do you have a passion for cooking and love the idea of working on a farm? Are you able to create lunch menus daily from meat and vegetables grown on/provided by the farm?
Tablehurst Farm is looking for a Farm Kitchen Chef for either Monday to Friday OR Wednesday to Friday. Each work day is 5.5 hours from 9am to 3.00pm (which includes an unpaid break of 1/2 an hour). Hours to include food preparation, ordering of ad-hoc ingredients, clearing away and cleaning kitchen after lunch, and ensuring that all food hygiene procedures are followed.
The hot lunches include a main meal (which may include a meat and always a vegetarian option/gluten free meal) and a dessert for up to 40 people (the number to feed varies from day to day). Lunch is served at 1pm daily. Fresh ingredients used will come from our biodynamic/organic farm produce.
Candidates with Level-3 Food Hygiene certificate are preferred as well as the ability to cook in quantity.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 27.5 hours over Monday to Friday OR 16.5 hours over Wednesay to Friday
