Job description

Hours: 2 days/week, Monday and Tuesday 14-16 hours/week

Location: onsite, Sussex Farm

The role

My Little Farm is scaling a weekly farm shop and harvest-box service for our member community. To grow without chaos, we need someone in the engine room.

As Inventory & Fulfilment Assistant you’ll run the systems that turn farm and partner produce into reliable weekly boxes and shop availability — with minimal waste, clean processes, and a calm, well-organised fulfilment flow.

If you love building simple, high-trust operations in a real-world food environment, you’ll thrive here.

What you’ll do

  • Build and run our weekly inventory and fulfilment system end-to-end.

  • Maintain a clean, live inventory view (Shopify + internal tools).

  • Manage the relationship with the courier service.

  • Set up and follow packing and dispatch processes that a growing team can follow easily.

  • Own cold-chain flow, storage organisation, picking routes, and packing standards.

  • Track and reduce waste, stockouts, and fulfilment errors week by week.

  • Coordinate closely with Farm Ops and Partner Supply so availability and reality always match.

  • Help train fulfilment staff and volunteers as volume grows.

You’re likely to be a fit if you…

  • Have hands-on experience in inventory/fulfilment for perishable food (CSA, veg box, farm shop, grocery, hospitality supply chain, etc.).

  • Can design systems and roll your sleeves up to run them.

  • Think in practical workflows, not spreadsheets for their own sake.

  • Stay calm under pressure and bring order to busy environments.

  • Care about food integrity and want your work to support regenerative farming.

  • Enjoy improving a system every week — small gains compounding fast.

 Success looks like…

  • Members consistently get what we say they’ll get.

  • The team packs smoothly and confidently, even in peak weeks.

  • Waste drops, margins improve, and revenue becomes more predictable.

  • Our fulfilment model becomes simple enough to replicate on future farms.
