Job description
Based at Rainton Farm, near Gatehouse of Fleet, Dumfries & Galloway, DG7 2DR
We are growing our cheesemaking team and we are looking to appoint someone who will enjoy learning to make, turn and pack cheese to a consistently high standard.
Attention to detail and a willingness to learn is important in this role.
Cheesemaking is physically demanding with challenging temperature changes throughout the year.
To make sure candidates for this position have an understanding of the working environment, the interview process will include the opportunity to join in on that days’ production and meet all members of the team.
This is a permanent position, and a share of weekend working will be required. This is a full time position but part time will be considered.

Here at The Ethical Dairy, we have been making a variety of organic artisan cheeses for 10 years. Milk is only sourced from our own 'Cow and Calf' dairy where all calves are left with their mothers for up to 5 months. Our ethical dairy model is based around treating the animals, the land, our environment and the people who work here with respect and kindness.
