About the role

We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser to lead our efforts in developing, writing, submitting and securing multi‑year funding bids for our community organisation. Working collaboratively with our team while identifying new opportunities for long‑term income growth. We are looking to secure multi-year funding bids (15-30k+) for our growing organisation. The funding will support part-time roles for our team, programme scaling, training and facilitation support.

This is a short‑term contract with potential to extend. If extended, you would be invited to write yourself into the bids you are writing.

Contract details

Rate: £250 per day

Total Fee: £3,000 (12 days)

Duration: 12 days between March - May 2026

Location: Remote

Key responsibilities

  • Support us in applying for the following funding opportunities - Arts Council, Paul Hamlyn, National Lottery, Tudor Trust and similar funding institutions that fund food, land and racial justice initiatives

  • Write compelling proposals and multi‑year bids aligned with our mission and purpose

  • The fundraiser will work closely with the co-director to gather information, write bids and manage project budgets 

Job requirements

  • Evidence of securing multiyear grants and or larger funding grants

  • Strong bid‑writing and persuasive communication skills

  • Confidence working both independently and collaboratively with a small team

  • Excellent organisational and time management management abilities

  • Understanding of community development, social impact and racial justice

  • Commitment to anti‑colonial, equitable and inclusive practice

Earth Tenders is a black-led nature connection and community gardening project based in South London. We are responding to the collective call for BPOC-led and affirming spaces within earth practices. At the growing site we offer free or low-cost workshops and training in food growing, medicine making, nature walks, crafts and wellbeing practices.
