Job description
Grow Wilder is Avon Wildlife Trust’s unique urban growing hub, learning centre, and wildflower nursery for Bristol. On our 6-acre site, we work with organisations and community groups to maintain a wildlife-friendly space that gives people of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to connect with nature. Through food growing, nature regeneration, conservation training, wellbeing activities, and crafts, we engage a diverse community and create positive social impact.
We are looking for three passionate and committed volunteers to assist the Land Management Officers during the 2026 growing season. Volunteers will support food growing and land management tasks, help coordinate volunteer groups, and ensure volunteers are welcomed, safe, and supported in their roles.
You will work closely with Grow Wilder’s Land Management Officers and gain hands-on experience in ecological growing and community work.
Volunteer days: Wednesdays and Fridays Duration: End of March to December 2026
As a thank you for your contribution, volunteers will receive free access to our newly updated 19-week Grow Leader Course in Autumn 2026.

Grow Wilder is a six-acres wildlife gardening hub, where people and wildlife thrive in an urban productive setting. Our mission is to bring about urgent action for the restoration of wildlife by educating and empowering people, communities and businesses to make positive changes through wildlife-friendly gardening and sustainable food growing.
