Job description
Join us at WWF-UK – Senior Policy Advisor – Supply Chains (FTC)
About the role
We’re excited to be recruiting for a Senior Policy Advisor – Supply Chains to join WWF-UK’s Policy Directorate and help shape policy solutions that support sustainable agricultural supply chains and protect nature.
The Policy team works closely with colleagues across advocacy, conservation and science to bridge the gap between the latest evidence and what can be delivered politically in the UK and internationally. The team develops and advances policy solutions to some of the most complex global challenges, using policy expertise, strong analysis and political insight to influence governments, businesses and international institutions.
This role sits within the Supply Chains team, where WWF-UK brings its long-standing expertise in global Agri-commodity supply chains to design and build the case for public policy that supports sustainable production and sourcing. A core focus of the role is developing policy solutions that help end deforestation and avoid offshoring environmental impacts while supporting resilient food systems, thriving farming communities and nature restoration at home and abroad.
Working closely with colleagues across the WWF network and external partners, you will contribute to the development and delivery of policy solutions that leverage the influence of the UK and other major consumer markets. This includes promoting Core Environmental Standards in trade and supporting policy discussions that affect agricultural production in tropical forest regions and engaging with policy dynamics involving key markets such as the EU and China.
You will play an important role in analysing policy opportunities, developing evidence-based recommendations and engaging with stakeholders across government, business and civil society to help shape and influence policy development. The role also involves working collaboratively with WWF teams across different regions and disciplines to ensure policy approaches deliver meaningful outcomes for climate, nature and people.
